The RSH Staff

Cate O’ Connor

Cate set up the RSH over 4 years ago and has worked every year as both School Director and class teacher.  She is a qualified Primary school teacher from Co. Limerick in Ireland.  Having graduated with a B.A in Education with French from Mary Immaculate Teacher training college in Limerick, Cate went to work in a Limerick city Primary School.   She stayed there for two years before leaving for Paris and a position with EABJM in the 15th.   Cate stayed with EABJM for three years teaching the english mother-tongue classes from Maternelle to CE1.  This was invaluable experience and as a result of working with bilingual children in this situation and with many private families she founded the RSH in 2006.

Gabriella Sappey

Gabriella joined The Roaming Schoolhouse in September 2007 as a CE and CM teacher in the Neuilly area. Following her studies Gabriella gained experience teaching in the primary school system in England.  Then following her move to France, Gabriella taught English within the French school system in Normandy. Leanne McDevitt

Leanne joined the RSH team in September 2010 and is working in several areas at various levels.  Originally from Co. Donegal in Ireland, Leanne moved to Paris a year ago.  After taking time out to be with her young daughter she is is delighted to be back in classroom situation again with the children.  Leanne first studied to work with secondary school children (college and lycee) qualifying as a Science teacher at Dublin city University.   When an opportunity came up to work within a Primary school setting Leanne jumped at the chance and has never looked back.  She worked with various age groups in Donegal covering all areas of the Primary curriculum until her move to Paris.  She also worked for six months as an Education Guide in Glenveagh National Park applying the program designed to cover many aspects of the Science program in Primary schools.  Leanne's extensive background in Science brings a new element to the RSH team which we hope will be reflected in the program this year.  Once again it is a combination of experience and specific expertise that make her a valued staff member.
