Cate O’ Connor

Cate currently works for The Roaming Schoolhouse as both School Director and class teacher.  She is a qualified Primary school teacher from Co. Limerick in Ireland.  She has a B.A in Education with French from Mary Immaculate Teacher training college in Limerick.  During her studies Cate chose Music in the Classroom as her pedagogical option.  She taught for 2 years in her native country before leaving to take up a position in the Ecole Active Bilingue Jeannine Manuel in Paris.  Cate stayed with EABJM for 3 years teaching the english mother-tongue classes from Maternelle to CE1. Following this indepth experience with bilingual children she founded the RSH in 2006.  Cate also has a particular interest in music and has taught piano for the last 10 years. 

Gabriella Sappey

Gabriella joined The Roaming Schoolhouse in September 2007 as a CE teacher in the Neuilly area. Gabriella, originally from England, is a qualified primary school teacher with a BA in Education. Following her studies Gabriella gained experience teaching in the primary school system in England. After moving to France, Gabriella taught English within the French school system in Normandy. During this period she also started to teach adults at various levels. Gabriella grew up in a bilingual home, english and spanish,  this personal experience with bilinugalism together with her teaching experience makes her an important asset to the school.

Sinead O' Connor

Sinead joined the RSH in September 2009. Having worked previously with the school during Spring Camp 2009, she decided to further her experience with Bilingual children by returning to work with the weekly groups in Paris.  Originally from Co. Galway in Ireland, Sinead has B.A. in Drama & Theatre with Music. She is also a certified TEFL teacher. Recently she has worked in schools throughout Ireland with Branar Drámaíochta as a Drama facilitator, actor and musician, promoting the Irish language in primary schools.  Sinead also gives Theatre classes in her spare time and has taught piano to both children and adults. Her keen interest in language acquisition together with her drama experience makes her a valued member of the RSH team.

Clare McLoughlin

 
Clare joined the RSH in September 2009. having recently qualified from Marino College in Dubllin with a B.A. in Education, Clare was eager to further her experience in an alternative education system. Originally from Achill Island, Ireland, Clare has already accumulated extensive experience with young children having worked as supervisor in Irish language residential camps. Clare brings a fresh approach, full of new ideas to the RSH and is a valued member of the team.  Irish dancing and traditional music (including the bagpipes!) are particular areas of interest to her.
